The recent archaeological discovery in the ruins of Tamtoc and Tamohi, only 45 minutes from Ciudad Valles, has focused the world’s attention of the Huasteca region, discoveries like the “Monolith 32”, a Calendar piece of huge dimension of the Prehispanic Culture, found in Tamtoc in February 2005.  It has been determined that the flowering Huasteca Culture may be the Mother Culture, contrary to what was believed earlier, a derivation of another culture.  The Huasteca Secreta is an important site for archaeology lovers and the legacy of our ancestors.
